The Emirati Businessman Jassim Al Bastaki is one of the leading entrepreneurs in the United Arab Emirates, and has many national contributions in motivating young Emirati people to enter the field of entrepreneurship, whether through lectures and conferences, as well as TV programs that offer advice to entrepreneurs.
Jassim Al Bastaki an active member of several governmental and international organizations, including the Board Member of Emirati entrepreneurs Association, the Advisory Council of the Federation of Gulf Entrepreneurship member, in addition to that he is a member in the Mohammed Bin Rashid Establishment for the development of small and medium‐sized enterprises, member in the Khalifa bin Zayed Fund to support small projects medium, and also participating in the Group of Twenty Entrepreneurship G20.
Jassim Al Bastaki today is a Managing Director and General Manager of the MIDEX Airlines Company, and one of the founders of the company, which is the fourth airline company registered in the UAE and the largest private airline Company in the field of air transport of goods in the Middle East.
He is also the founder and owner of cafes “Cafe2go” series and commercial brand “Camellos “. The idea emerged to establish series of cafes specialized in selling coffee products using camel milk, to compete with international brands.
Prior to that, Al Bastaki has also established Moon Company for Consulting and Hotel Management, which is considered a center for integrated solutions in the field of strategies and services for hotel and hospitality management.
Jassim Al Bastaki is the first Emirati citizen graduate with a Bachelor degree from Management Faculty of international hotel and hospitality industry from the University of Central Florida, located in the city of Orlando in Florida in the United States.
Al Bastaki also holds academic degree in financial management from the College of Business Administration in the United Kingdom, and a certificate of Higher Diploma in asset management and property.
In addition to high academic certificates that Al Bastaki carried, he added to them practical experiences of twenty years in the public and private sectors, including asset and property, hotels, travel and tourism management.
Jassim Al Bastaki previously served as a member of the executive management in many government institutions, including «Dubai Silicon Oasis Authority» as the executive director in the business unit.
He also served as Executive Director of Real Estate at the Dubai World Trade Centre.
Recently he founded “Envelope Investment Company”, which summarized its vision to be a leader in the sector of supporting small enterprise sector through participation in institutions and small businesses and work on the development and growth of these companies, as well as support social and economic development in the region through its mission in creating an economic model pioneer in the SME’s sector and play a leading role in the development and support of these projects by supporting Micro‐entrepreneurs and provide all facilities to their needs and encourage the growth of small companies and institutions in the region.
