The first Zohoor Alreef shop opened in 1991 in Al Khobar, Saudi Arabia, selling a simple range of toiletries made from natural fruit and floral essences. Over the course of the next two decades, the business grew, and the company was able to open stores in the country’s major new malls. Perfumes, ‘oil perfumes’, cosmetics, gifts and accessories were added in response to demand from an increasingly affluent customer base.
Zohoor Alreef has 150+ stores, mainly in Saudi Arabia and in Bahrain with expected sales turnover of 170 million SR by end of 2012. In addition, franchise stores operating successfully in Qatar, Kuwait and Saudi Arabia. The company founder Mr. Faisal Al Khaldy vision for international growth was to move Zohoor Alreef from a family owned business to a large stock trading company. The company is scheduled for IPO in 2013.
